Photography Policy
The Red Barn Farm, Hammonton, NJ
We welcome photographers who want to use the farm as a backdrop. Between the sunflower fields, the corn maze, and a Hammonton sunset, there is no shortage of photo ops!
This page covers two things: how our team photographs the farm and its guests during the season, and the policy every paid photographer needs to follow. Because our fairgrounds are free to enter and our guests are here for the attractions, we ask every professional to book a day pass below. We are a small family farm, and this keeps the day easy for everyone.
Farm Photography & Media Release
The Red Barn Farm and its team photograph and film around the fairgrounds, attractions, and events throughout the season, including our Sunflower & Fall Festivals, Oktoberfest, and private event spaces during public hours.
By entering the farm, you consent to being photographed, filmed, or recorded, and you grant The Red Barn Farm and Red Barn Inc. the irrevocable right to use, publish, and reproduce those images, videos, and recordings, including your likeness and that of minors in your care, for promotional and commercial purposes. This includes our website, social media, advertising, email, print materials, and media coverage of the farm, in perpetuity, without compensation, notice, or further permission.
This applies to all guests, including those on the free fairgrounds, ticketed attractions, and at special events, and to photos and video taken by our team, our contractors, and media we invite.
A few things we want you to know:
- If you'd prefer not to be photographed, tell any team member and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
- If you see yourself or your child in one of our posts and would like it removed, email TheRedBarnFarmNJ@gmail.com and we'll take it down.
- We never sell or license guest images to third parties. They're used to share what a day at the farm looks like, nothing else.
Guest photos tagged @theredbarnfarm_fritzgrill or #TheRedBarnFarm may be reshared by the farm with credit.
What counts as a professional session
Portrait photography: senior, engagement, family, maternity, graduation, wedding, headshots, and similar sessions where the photographer is paid in money, trade, or services.
Commercial photography: catalog, fashion, advertising, promotional, brand, influencer, product, and similar content, including video.
Any session with a paid photographer, portrait or commercial, requires a Photographer Day Pass. Larger commercial productions require a separate agreement (see below).
Photographer Day Pass
- $100 per day. Covers one photographer and up to 4 subjects. Good for the full day, during festival hours only.
- Additional photographer or assistant: $100 each.
- Additional subjects beyond 4: $20 per person. Most farms charge every client admission; our fairgrounds are free, so this is how we keep sessions sized for a small family farm.
- Available August 29 through November 1, during festival hours: Fridays 4 PM to 8 PM, Saturdays and Sundays 11 AM to 8 PM.
- Day passes must be purchased online before you arrive. Book by filling out our Contact Us form. Select "Commercial Photography Day Pass" as the subject, and let us know your requested date and time and the number of subjects you plan to bring, since that determines your total if you are above 4. We will follow up by email to confirm and send a payment link. Same-day requests are not accepted, and photography day passes are not sold at the gate. Please plan on submitting your form at least a few days ahead.
- Check in at the ticket booth on arrival. A wristband will be provided and must be clearly displayed at all times.
- Photographers and subjects follow the same rules as every guest. Attractions (corn maze, hayride, sunflower field, bounce pad) require a ticket like anyone else.
- Non-refundable. Rain dates may be rescheduled at no cost.
Commercial Productions
Any shoot with a crew, lighting or grip equipment, models, staged sets, vehicles, video production, or more than 15 people total requires a signed location agreement, proof of insurance, and a deposit.
Email TheRedBarnFarmNJ@gmail.com at least 14 days ahead with your client, crew size, equipment list, dates, hours, and intended use. Pricing is quoted per project.

The pass does not include the Sunflower Hayride, Giant Corn Maze, or Giant Bounce Pillow, which require a ticket for every person, same as any guest. If your subjects would like to take sunflowers home, stems can be purchased on site
- Planning to use sunflowers in your shots? They're beautiful as props and we'd love that. Stems must be purchased at the farm stand before you cut, and they aren't included with the pass. (3$ per stem)
- All photos must be family friendly in nature.
- The Red Barn Farm reserves the right to determine whether a session is professional and to halt any session that is disruptive or outside this policy.
- Anyone breaking these rules, or shooting a professional or commercial session without a pass, will be escorted from the farm with no refund.
